Amherst, N.Y. - Opening a two match Western New York road trip on Saturday, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Volleyball dropped a 3-1 decision to Daemen University at Lumsden Gymnasium.
STAC falls to 5-17 overall and 1-8 in ECC action, while Daemen improves to 11-12 and 7-3.
The Spartans grabbed the early lead on a victory in the opening set, but saw the Wildcats sweep the final three sets to gain the overall match triumph.

How it Happened
- As a team, Daemen recorded 55 kills compared to St. Thomas Aquinas' 43. The Wildcats also had 13 blocks and 53 assists, while the Spartans tallied 1 block and 39 assists.
- Daemen outhit STAC by a .250 to .121 margin for the match.
- Adriana Zarceno paced the Spartans offense with a team-high 16 kills. She also registered a service ace and a team-high 13 digs.
- Anna Gazzerro tallied a match-high 32 serve assists (8.0 assists/set). Gazzerro also accumulated two service aces and eight digs for the maroon and gold.
- Natassia Romanoff picked up 11 kills, three digs and solo block on Saturday afternoon.
- Laura Rojas Gomez racked up seven kills and five digs against the Wildcats.
- Kamila Zoe Rosa contributed five kills, three service aces and four digs.
- Christianna Roberts accumulated three kills and two digs.
- Boglarka Kiss put together a six serve assist, one service ace, eight dig effort for the Spartans.
