    St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis player, Kristen Schimpf was named to the East Coast Conference 2nd Team. Schimpf played the top doubles and singles flight for the Lady Spartans this season.

    The St.Thomas Aquinas womne's tennis team beat Post University, 7-2 in yesterday's match. The Lady Spartans also finished up a privios match with a 6-3 win. The match was started in September and cut short due to the weather.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team loat to Philadelphia University, 6-3. Valerie Massaro and Jayden Brignola paired up for an 8-4 doubles win. Massaro also won her singles match, 6-1, 6-1 while Samantha Vinci also won, 6-3, 7-5.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team lost to Chestnut Hill, 6-3 on Friday afternoon. Valerie Massaro and Erin Maher paired up for an 8-0 doubles victory. Massaro also picked up an 8-3 singles win to top off her senior day match. Freshman Samantha Vinci won her singles match, 8-1.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas Athletic Department will honor the women's tennis seniors tomorrow in a pre-match ceremony beginning at 3:40 p.m. Four year veterans Valerie Massaro and Danielle Bicknell will play in one of their final home matches against Chestnut Hill College.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team is the #3 seed for the East Coast Conference Championships. The Lady Spartans will play #2 seed Molloy College on Thursday at Queens College at 12:30. The winner of Thursday's match will play the winner of the Queens/C.W. Post match on Friday at 2:30 p.m.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team lost 6-3 this afternoon to Dowling College. Senior Valerie Massaro paired up with Christine Patruno for a doubles match win, 8-0. Massaro also won her singles match, 6-1, 6-0 along with Erin Maher who won 6-4, 6-2 in her singles match.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team beat NYIT, 9-0. Kristen Schimpf and Danielle Bicknell won the top doubles flight, 8-1. Schimpf & Bicknell also won the first and third singles matches for the Lady Spartans.
  • Samantha Vinci Named ECC Rookie of the Week

    St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis player, Samantha Vinci was named this weeks ECC Rookie of the Week. Vinci was 3-0 in doubles play while posting a perfect 1-0 in singles play this week. Paired with Erin Maher, Vinci defeated opponents 8-0 to win the Spartans' lone doubles match over Dowling.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team was selcted 5th in the ECC poll. STAC finished 7-5 overall and 2-4 in conference play last season. The Lady Spartans lost their #1 singles player to graduation but return six experienced players along with two newcomers.
