STAC Women's Lacrosse Wraps 2025 Campaign, Falling to Molloy 21-7

Sparkill, N.Y. - Despite rainy conditions throughout, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Lacrosse team wrapped up their 2025 campaign, falling to Molloy University 21-7 on Saturday afternoon at Spartan Field.

STAC closes out its season with a 5-13 overall record and a 1-5 ECC mark. Meanwhile, Molloy heads to the postseason at 8-8 and 5-1.

Katelyn Cerrato led the Spartans' offense with four goals and an assist on the day, while Hailey Galison added a pair of goals and an assist and Jada Garcia tallied a goal and two helpers. Goalie Lilah Magenheimer (L, 5-10) got the start between the pipes for the maroon and gold and stopped 13 of 34 shots faced. Magenheimer ended her season with a milestone by making her 300th career collegiate save in the second quarter.

On the other side of the field, Molloy was led by Ava Benasutti, who tallied five goals, while Sofia Quitoni added four goals and Alessandra Borsellino scored three goals and picked up three assists. Teammates Brenna Signorelli (2 goals, 1 assist), Megan Rugolo (2 goals, 1 assist), Emma Ryan (2 goals), Alexa Amorison (1 goal, 3 assists), Cameron Thompson (1 goal) and Brooke Grossjung (1 goal) added to the totals both on the scoreboard and the scoresheet for the Lions. Goalie Nicole Schaumloffel (W, 8-8), turned aside 3 of 6 shots in three quarters of work to earn the victory. Samantha Heuer saw action in the fourth quarter and stopped 2 of 6 shots thrown her way.
