STAC Comes Up Short in ECC Title Match, Drops 3-1 Decision to Roberts Wesleyan

Rochester, N.Y. - St. Thomas Aquinas College's hopes of a third straight East Coast Conference Men's Volleyball Tournament title were dashed on Saturday afternoon by Roberts Wesleyan University in a 3-1, four-set heartbreaker at the Voller Athletic Center in Western New York.

STAC closes their 2026 campaign with an 12-14 overall record and a 4-2 ECC mark, while RWU ends their season on an eight match winning streak, improving to 20-10 and 5-1.

The Spartans and Redhawks battled for every point across four sets. St. Thomas Aquinas opened the championship bout by grinding out a narrow win in the first set to take an early lead.
