Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Basketball team saw all five of its starters score in double figures, as the maroon and gold held off a late rally attempt by D'Youville University to win 93-87 on Friday evening at Aquinas Hall Gymnasium.
STAC improves to 6-3 overall and 3-0 in ECC play, while D'Youville slips to 2-6 and 2-1.
Starrell Hearns led the way with a team-high 21 points, followed by teammates William Landram II (16 points), Joshua Michigan (15 points), Jordan Green (13 points) and Derrick James (13 points). Meanwhile, Elisha Warren paced the visiting Saints with a game-high 25 points.
STAC shot 49.3 percent (37-75) from the field, while D'Youville shot 45.5 percent (30-66) from the floor and 89.5 percent (17-19) from the foul line.
STAC NOTES AND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Nine Spartans logged double-digit minutes in the contest.
- Derrick James led the maroon and gold with ten assists on the night.

- D'Youville out-rebounded STAC by a 42-38 count, with Jordan Green grabbing a team-high six boards for the Spartans.
- St. Thomas Aquinas swiped 14 steals, with the Saints turning the ball over on 22 separate occasions.
- The Spartans earned advantages in three team statistical categories over D'Youville: Points off Turnovers (22-17), Points in the Paint (54-34) and Fastbreak Points (27-10).
- The game featured two ties and no lead changes.
- STAC's largest lead of the game came with three and a half minutes to play in the first half of Friday's contest, when the Spartans led by 24 points, 46-22, on a William Landram II three-point jump shot.
- St. Thomas Aquinas led D'Youville, 46-31 going into the halftime locker room and shot 51.4 percent (19-37) from the field.
- Starrell Hearns led all scorers with 12 first half points for the Spartans, while shooting 71.4 percent (5-of-7) from the floor and 50.0 percent (2-of-4) from downtown.
D'YOUVILLE NOTES AND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Eight Saints logged double-digit minutes in the contest.

- Maxence Massadila led D'Youville with ten assists on the evening.

- Trayton Trice and Dawson Matsell grabbed a game-high eight boards apiece for the Saints.
- D'Youville picked up seven steals, with the Spartans turning the ball over on 16 separate occasions.
- The Saints earned advantages in two team statistical categories over St. Thomas Aquinas: Second Chance Points (21-20) and Bench Points (23-15).
- Elisha Warren led all Saints scorers with 11 first half points, while shooting 55.6 percent (5-of-9) from the field.
- D'Youville's best shooting half came in the second stanza, as the Saints shot 56.7 percent (17-30) from the field, 53.3 percent (8-15) from long distance and 93.3 percent (14-15) from the free-throw line.
