Field Hockey Shut Out at Bentley, 8-0

Waltham, Mass. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Field Hockey team hit the road for a Saturday afternoon Northeast-10 Conference matchup with Bentley University in New England. A four-goal first quarter allowed the host Falcons to cruise to an 8-0 victory over the Spartans.

STAC slips to 3-10 overall and 2-6 in NE10 action, while Bentley improves to 10-5 and 8-1.

McKenzie Carey put together a four-goal performance for the Falcons, while Madeline Krepelka, Layla Conway, Sophie Manchester and Gracie Moore also added to the hosts' totals on the scoreboard with a goal apiece. In the cage, Annie Lorenz (W, 9-5) got the start in goal for Bentley and faced no shots in the first half to earn the victory. Olivia Heryla came on in relief in the second half and also saw no shots to earn a shared shutout with her teammate Lorenz.

Ailsa Ogilvie (L, 3-9) got the start in the cage for the Spartans and made 19 stops on 27 shots.
