Hillburn, N.Y. - Hosting its annual Homecoming Weekend game, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Sprint Football team dropped a 34-18 decision to Mansfield University on Friday evening at the Torne Valley Sports Complex in Rockland County.
STAC slips to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in the CSFL North Division, while Mansfield improves to 3-1 and 1-0.
STAC HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
- Trevon Washington led the Spartans' run game with 14 rushing attempts for 52 total yards.
- Aaron Cruz caught two passes for 61 total yards a touchdown, while Trevon Washington accumulated three receptions for 50 yards and a score.
- Starting quarterback Tynez Harp completed 9 of 16 passes, for 145 yards, while also throwing for two touchdowns. He also had three rushing attempts.
- Luigi Biondolillo led the STAC defense on Saturday with 18 total tackles (6 solo, 12 assist), while teammate Ibrahim Conteh took down Mountaineers for 12 total tackles (3 solo, 9 assist).
- Ethan Hence and Marc Hector also picked up a sack apiece.
- Kicker Andrew Stosko went 0-for-1 on extra point attempts.
