The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team picked up a pair of losses at LIU Post.  Samantha McDonald's RBI single scored the Lady Spartans only run for the day, in the 9-1 loss.  STAC lost 8-0 in game two, with Shelby Coyle having the only hit for the Lady Spartans.

In game one, McDonald went 2-for-3, including a single in the 5th inning that scored Brittany Mangan.  Mangan started the inning off with a single of her own.  The Lady Spartans had six hits for the day and left five on base.  Kimberly Nowak pitched 2.2 inning and struck out 3 batters.  Maura Powers had the loss on the mound. 

In game two, Megan Sweezy picked up the loss and had one strike out against the tough Pioneer squad.  STAC had one hit and 3 walks stranding all four runners.  The Lady Spartans are scheduled to play NYIT on Tuesday.
