The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost to Queens College, 3-0 and 7-3 on Thursday afternoon.  Jamie McCormick went 1-3 in the second game, with a lead off double in the 5th and scored the Lady Spartans first run of the day.  Rachael Hannawalt added an RBI single in the game.

In game one, the Lady Spartans had 5 hits and left 8 on base.  Katie Meyers went 2-for-3 for STAC.  Queens scored runs in the 3rd, 4th and 7th inning; highlighted by RBI singles from, Mattsson, Franzone and an RBI triple from Shereyka.  Maura Power had 3 strikeouts in the loss.

In game two, the Knights scored 5 runs in 4-innings to control the game.  Heather Clausen reached on a fielder's choice to score McCormick in the 5th. STAC added two runs in the 7th but it was not enough to close the gap.  Meyers had the loss on the mound for the Lady Spartans. 

STAC will host NYIT on Sunday for a 1:00 double header.
