The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost at Molloy College, 9-0 and 10-0 on Friday afternoon.  STAC's Toni Ann Groth and Lauren Navarro each had a hit for the Lady Spartans.  Megan Butterworth and Kelley Jansen each picked up the shutout wins for the Lions. 

Molloy's Jenna Frey went 3-for-3 in the first game and scored 3 of the Lions runs.  In the second game, Nicolette Sinagra hit a 2-run homerun in the 5th and Brenda Lee hit a 3-run homer in the 6th.  Maura Powers and Megan Sweezy each pick up the loss on the mound for STAC with 5 and 4 strike outs respectively.

The Lady Spartans will be right back in action on Saturday as they host Bridgeport University for a 1:00 double header.
