In the latest USTFCCCA East Region rankings, which were released on Tuesday, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Cross Country team was ranked in the 10th position.
The Spartans jump into the top 10, follows their superb performance at the East Coast Conference Championships last weekend in Rochester, N.Y., where they took third place as a team.
The women's squad was led by Graduate Student Abagaile Kimbrell. Kimbrell completed the 5K course in a time of 18:10.9, good for a second place individual finish. Following Kimbrell in order of finish were: Madison Roth (19:50.9), Christina Maretzo (19:55.5), Lesly Marcin (20:05.7), Skylar Moreno (20:17.4), Gabriella Mott (20:17.8), Ciara Durcan (20:39.7), Grace Gregory (20:54.3), Sofia Echeverria (21:31.0), Ruby Pekin-Schlicht (22:06.0), Emma Neil (23:53.9) and Nicole Gysin (26:26.9).
