Spartan junior Aida Torpey has been named the Preseason Runner of the Year by the East Coast Conference. Torpey was a key factor in the teams 2017 2nd place ECC finish and 7th place finish in the East Region.  As a lead runner fo rthe Spartans, Torpey set the bar high as a sophomore.  She finished the season as an All-Region selection following a 22nd place finish in the NCAA East Regional and a First Team All-Conference selection with a 3rd place finish at the ECC Championship. Torpey posted two other top-five finishes on the year, coming in fourth at the NYIT Invitational and second at the NJIT Highlander Challenge.
