Cross Country Teams Ranked 9th (Women) & 10th (Men) in East Region

The USTFCCA has released the regional ranking for Week 2.  The Spartan women fell to 9th in the East Region, while the men made their debut in the poll at #10.

These ranking follow a successful opening race at the Fordham Fiasco/Ed Joyce Memorial.  The women's team finished 2nd overall.  The women were led by newcomer Aida Torpey.  Torpey finished in 7th place clocking her first collegiate time of 21:28.  Senior Meaghan Ventarola was right behind her crossing the line in 21:41. 

Rookie Jonathan Gay took the lead for the men's team which secured a 3rd place finish for the team.  Gay finished in 14th place in 27:53, followed by senior Jamer Linares (28:11).
