Women's Volleyball Drops 3-0 Decision At Queens To Close 2025 Season

Queens, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Volleyball team wrapped up its 2025 season on Saturday afternoon, falling to Queens College, 3-0, at Fitzgerald Gymnasium.

STAC finishes up at 5-20 overall and 1-11 in ECC play, while Queens moves to 10-18 and 3-9 to close out its year.

How it Happened

  • As a team, Queens recorded 37 kills compared to St. Thomas Aquinas' 33. The Knights also had 8 blocks and 33 assists, while the Spartans tallied no blocks and 31 assists.
  • Queens outhit STAC by a .292 to .075 margin for the match.
  • Adriana Zarceno paced the Spartans offense with a match-high 15 kills. She also registered a service ace and a team-high nine digs.
  • Anna Gazzerro tallied a match-high 28 serve assists (9.33 assists/set). Gazzerro also accumulated three service aces and seven digs for the maroon and gold.
  • Laura Rojas Gomez picked up eight kills and four digs on Saturday afternoon.
  • Christianna Roberts racked up four kills and two digs against the Knights.
