Women's Volleyball Splits Saturday Tri-Match with Saint Michael's & Post

Waterbury, Conn. - For the third straight Saturday, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Volleyball team took to the road for tri-match action, this one with Saint Michael's College and Post University at the Drubner Center in Connecticut.

In a pair of terrific volleyball matches, STAC picked up a 3-2, five-set victory over the Purple Knights, before falling 3-0 to the host Eagles to move to 2-6 on the season.

  • As a team, Saint Michael's recorded 51 kills compared to St. Thomas Aquinas' 43. The Purple Knights also had 7 blocks and 47 assists, while the Spartans tallied 5 blocks and 41 assists.
  • Saint Michael's outhit STAC by a .138 to .064 margin for the match.
  • Adriana Zarceno paced the Spartans offense with a team-high 15 kills. She also registered a serve assist, service ace and 12 digs.
