The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Tennis team punched their ticket to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Tournament by virtue of their 4-3 come-from-behind victory over Wilmington University on Saturday in the East Regional. STAC heads to Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida as the #16 seed and will take on #1 seeded and defending National Champions Barry University. The Buccaneers have won the last six NCAA Division II Women's Tennis titles.

STAC finished the 2023-2024 regular season with a 15-6 overall record and a 4-1 ECC mark. The maroon and gold won its second straight East Coast Coast Conference Tournament crown back in October.
The Spartans (16-6) and Buccaneers (20-4) will face off against one another for the first time in the history of both programs on Monday, May 20 at 9:00 a.m.
First Round matches get underway on Monday, May 20 with teams playing at 9 a.m and 1 p.m. in the Sunshine State. Winners advance to quarterfinal action the very next day (Tuesday, May 21) with matches at 4 p.m. After a day off, Semifinal rounds commence on Thursday, May 23 (12 p.m.), and the tournament concludes with the crowning of a National Champion on Friday, May 24 (1 p.m.).
The 2024 NCAA Women's Tennis Championship Finals are hosted by Rollins College and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission.
