Five Spartans Ranked in Division II Women's ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings

Tempe, Ariz. -  Five St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Tennis athletes were ranked in the Division II ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings released on November 17. 

National Rankings include the Top 50 singles players and Top 25 doubles teams, while the Regional Rankings include the Top 20 singles players and Top 10 doubles teams.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
Leading the way, senior Ebba Rosberg was ranked number 47 out of 50 singles players. Rosberg had a spectacular fall season, going 8-2 in doubles and 10-1 in singles action. The Stockholm, Sweden native took home ECC Player of the Year honors to go along with her All-Conference First Team Selection. She was also named the ECC Player of the Week on two seperate occasions during the regular season (9/19/22 & 10/24/22).

REGIONAL RANKINGS
Three Spartans were ranked in the East Region singles rankings. Rosberg was ranked third, while teammates Amaia Balauger Brau (Fr./Benicarlo, Spain) was ranked 15th and Paula Palero (Sr./Cullera, Spain) was ranked 19th out of 20 players. 

Two doubles teams were ranked in the East Region doubles rankings. The team of Rosberg and Samanta Villegas Robles (Sr./Leon, Mexico) were ranked third, while the team of Palero and Eliza Mulder (Sr./Schoonhoven, Netherlands) was ranked 10th out of ten doubles teams. 

WHATS NEXT
St. Thomas Aquinas College (10-0, 5-0 ECC) are the reigning, defending ECC Regular Season and Tournament Champions and will look to continue its impressive 2022-2023 season in the Spring, with its sights set on a return trip to the NCAA Tournament.
