The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Tennis team punched their ticket to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Tournament by virtue of their 4-3 come-from-behind victory over Jefferson University on Monday in the East Regional. STAC heads to the USTA National Campus (Collegiate Center) in Orlando, Florida as the #14 seed and will take on #3 seeded Hawaii Pacific University.

STAC finished the 2022-2023 regular season with a 17-3 overall record and a perfect 5-0 ECC mark. The maroon and gold won its second East Coast Coast Conference Regular Season title in three seasons and a postseason tournament crown for the first time in program history.
The Spartans (18-3) and Sharks (14-7) will face off against one another for the first time in the history of both programs on Friday, May 12 at 4:00 p.m.
First Round matches get underway on Friday, May 12 with teams playing at 8 a.m, 12 p.m., 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the Sunshine State. Winners advance to quarterfinal action the very next day (Saturday, May 13) with matches at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. After a day off, Semifinal rounds commence on Monday, May 15 (4 p.m.), and the tournament concludes with the crowning of a National Champion on Tuesday, May 16 (7 p.m.).
The 2023 NCAA Women's Tennis Championship Finals are hosted by Rollins College and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission.
