STAC Men's Tennis Ranked #4, Women's Tennis #5 in Latest Oracle/ITA East Region Polls

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's and Women's Tennis teams have been ranked #4 and #5 respectively in the latest Oracle/ITA Division II East Region polls, released on Tuesday.

On the women's side, the Spartans opened their 2021 schedule with a 7-0 victory over the University of New Haven. Leading the way for STAC were ECC Player of the Week, Viktoriia Pavlovets, who picked up a pair of wins against the Chargers. She started the day with a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles before topping Stephanie Gonzalez, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Also, In her collegiate debut, Jemima Parkinson helped the Spartans with a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles and a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles. 

STAC will return to action, hosting Queens College on April 3 at the Riley Family Tennis Courts. First service is scheduled for 10am.

Meanwhile, the men's program continues preparations for their 2021 campaign, which will get underway on April 3, when the Spartans also welcome Queens College to Sparkill for a 10am contest.
