On Saturday, the East Coast Conference announced the recipient of their annual Elite 19 Award for Women's Tennis during the conference's tournament final round matchup between St. Thomas Aquinas College and Queens College at the Queens College Tennis Center in Flushing, NY.

The ECC Elite 19 honor is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average competing in each of the ECC's 19 championships.

STAC Women's Tennis student-athlete Ayesha Burnett was named the recipient of the award, posting a 3.88 GPA, while majoring in Finance

On the court this season, the sophomore from Wellington, New Zealand, posted a 4-1 record in singles matches and a 5-2 record in doubles competition.
