Garden City, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Soccer team was dealt a tough 1-0 loss against hosts Adelphi University in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon at Motamed Field on Long Island.
STAC falls to 0-5 on the season, while Adelphi improves to 4-1.
Carmen Reinerink tallied the lone, game-winning goal for the Panthers in the 49th minute, with the assist being credited to teammate Madison Apicella.
Sophomore Claudia Vincent posted both of the Spartans shots in the match, with one reaching Adelphi keeper Peyton DeRouen (W, 3-1) for a second half save. Emily Aridas got the start for the Panthers and faced no shots in her 45 minutes of action.
Madison Lepage (L, 0-3) got the nod in net for STAC and made six saves on seven shots, keeping the visitors in the contest throughout.
