St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Lacrosse players Danielle Cajou and Leanna Iobbi were each named as ECC All-Conference Second Team selections on Friday afternoon.
On the offensive side of the field, Danielle Cajou posted a team-leading 30 assists and 68 points during the 2022 season. In 13 games played, the senior midfielder from Stony Point, N.Y., also scored 38 goals, racked up 86 total shots, with 65 of those being on goal, 35 ground balls, 83 draw controls and caused 9 turnovers.
Over her stellar career in maroon and gold (2017-2022), Cajou has 93 goals and 43 assists for 136 total points in 42 games. She has also added 74 ground balls, 179 draw controls and 22 caused turnovers.
Meanwhile, her teammate Leanna Iobbi led the team in goals with 46, while adding 7 assists for 53 points in 13 contests. The senior midfielder from Sparkill, N.Y., also recorded 108 shots, with 79 put on goal, 20 ground balls, 59 draw controls and 8 caused turnovers.
For her outstanding collegiate career at St. Thomas Aquinas (2018-2022), Iobbi has scored 139 goals and assisted on 24 others for 163 total points in 46 games. She has also tallied 84 groundballs, 183 draw controls and 26 caused turnovers.
