Sparkill, N.Y. - On Tuesday, St. Thomas Aquinas College Director of Athletics Nicole Ryan announced the hiring of Genesis Pacheco as Women's Lacrosse Head Coach.
Pacheco is no stranger to St. Thomas Aquinas College, as she currently serves as both Assistant Director of Athletics for the Kraus Fitness Center and Head Women's Field Hockey Coach. In her role as Women's Field Hockey Head Coach, Pacheco has helped guide the Spartans to back-to-back Northeast-10 Conference postseason appearances in 2019 and 2021.
"We are happy to add Genesis to our Women's Lacrosse coaching staff", said Director of Athletics Nicole Ryan. "Her hard work and commitment to the college have been evident in her success and we look forward to all that she will bring to our team this spring."
Pacheco earned a B.S. in early childhood education from Keystone College in 2017 and currently resides in Edgewater, New Jersey with her daughter, Arianna.
"I am excited to accept this opportunity to lead the STAC Women's Lacrosse program as their new head coach", stated Pacheco. "I have no doubt that we will accomplish great things as a team and I cannot wait to see us in action in just a few short weeks."
St. Thomas Aquinas Women's Lacrosse opens its 2022 season at Spartan Field on Friday, February 25 (3:00 p.m.) against Post University.
