On Thursday, the East Coast Conference announced the recipient of their annual Elite 19 Award for Women's Lacrosse during the conference's tournament semifinal round contest between St. Thomas Aquinas College and Mercy College at Mercy Field in Dobbs Ferry, NY.

The ECC Elite 19 honor is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average competing in each of the ECC's 19 championships.

STAC Women's Lacrosse student-athlete Jennifer Stevens was named the recipient of the award, posting a 3.95 GPA, while majoring in Forensic Science and minoring in Criminal Justice.

On the field this past season, the sophomore from Highland Mills, NY, registered two goals and two assists for the Spartans, while scooping up eight ground balls and causing four turnovers over nine games played.
