STAC Women's Bowling Returns to Action at Northeast Classic

New Castle, Del. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Bowling team returned to action on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the Northeast Classic at Bowlerama in New Castle, Delaware. The tournament consisted of 13 rounds of match play across three demanding days, testing both consistency and resilience.

Competition began on Friday with five 5-game Baker matches, where teamwork and communication were critical. While the team faced challenges finding rhythm early on, each match provided opportunities to adjust and build cohesion.

On Saturday, during five team game matches, the team battled through difficult lane conditions. Although results did not always reflect the effort shown, small improvements in execution, focus, and shot-making became noticeable as the day progressed.

The tournament concluded on Sunday with one round of four best-of-seven matches, where the team showed increased confidence and competitiveness. Despite struggling throughout portions of the tournament, the experience allowed us to identify areas for growth and build momentum.

Overall, the weekend was a valuable learning experience. The small improvements made throughout the Northeast Classic will hopefully translate into stronger individual and team performances at the next tournament on Saturday, January 24 in Staten Island at the EIBT "Wacky Baker Challenge", as the Spartans continue to grow, adjust, and compete as a team.
