Gwynn Oak, Md. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Bowling team traveled to Maryland for the two-day 2025 Coppin State University Lady Eagles Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at AMF Woodlawn Lanes.
14 teams, representing Divisions I and II, went to head-to-head in both traditional play and baker games, with a scratch scoring system used to count total pinfalls.
A challenging season-opening tournament from start to finish saw the maroon and gold record just one win in ten matches, but the effort and energy by the Spartans was not lacking on the weekend. Over the course of 51 games, the squad battled with grit and determination, shooting a combined 5,198 despite the final outcomes.
STAC looks ahead to its upcoming match before the Thanksgiving holiday, when they travel to Southern New Jersey for the Garden State Classic on November 21 and 22 at Howell Lanes.
