The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Bowling team continued their abbreviated 2021 season at the Bloomfield College Bears Classic on Sunday at Holiday Bowl in Oakland, NJ. STAC immediately opened up the day's competition with a victory over the host team Bloomfield College. Led by games of 218 by Megan Dobrinski , 191 by Brianna Randazzo and 185 by Hailey Galison, the Spartans posted a 921- 828 victory.

 

In Game 2, St. Thomas Aquinas faced the eventual champions of the Bears Classic, Felician University. It was a tough matchup for the Spartans, shooting 750 to Felician’s 921.

 

Game 3 was a tight match versus Molloy College. Once again, the Spartans were led by anchor bowler Megan Dobrinski shooting a team high 208 game. However, the Lions went on to defeat STAC 857-803. 

 

The Second Half of the day saw the Spartans once again take on top seeded Felician University in the Baker game portion of the Bears Classic, and after tying the score 1-1 after game two, Felician went on to take the next 3 games, closing out the Best of Seven series, 4-1.

 

In the Semifinal round of the classic, the Spartans took on Bloomfield College in another Best of Seven Baker Match. After losing game one, 177-163, the Spartans rolled their best Baker game of the day in game two, shooting 207 to Bloomfield’s 134.  The next three games were a back and fourth battle, but Bloomfield ultimately came out victorious, winning each and took the series 4-1.
