St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Basketball player Sarah Ericson was named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, for the second consecutive week, on Monday, following the Spartans split of home contests against Daemen College (L, 64-48) and D'Youville College (W, 84-64) last week.
Ericson averaged 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in two contests for the Spartans, while shooting 55.6 percent from the field (10-of-18), 50.0 percent from three (6-of-12) and 90.0 percent from the foul line (9-of-10).
The freshman guard from Norwich, Conn. posted 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and picked up a steal in 39 minutes of action against Daemen and followed it up with a 20-point, 10 rebound, six assist performance against D'Youville in 38 minutes on the hardwood.
St. Thomas Aquinas returns to action, traveling to the University of Bridgeport, on Wednesday evening, January 26. Opening tip between the Spartans and Purple Knights is scheduled for 5:00pm at Harvey Hubbell Gymnasium in Connecticut.
