St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Basketball player Sarah Ericson was named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans pair of victories over the University of the District of Columbia (52-45) and the College of Staten Island (65-55) last week.
Ericson averaged 10.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in two contests for the Spartans, while shooting 40 percent from the field (8-of-20)
The freshman guard from Norwich, Conn. posted 10 points, seven rebounds, five assists and picked up a steal and a blocked shot in 35 minutes of action against UDC and followed it up with an 11-point, six rebound, four assist performance against CSI in 33 minutes on the hardwood.
St. Thomas Aquinas hosts ECC foe Daemen College on Friday, January 21 at Aquinas Hall Gym. Tip-off between the Spartans and Wildcats is scheduled for 5:30pm in Sparkill.
