St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Basketball player Alexa Huertas earned All-Met First Team honors for Division II from the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association, which were released on Thursday morning.
The dynamic junior guard played an integral role in leading the Spartans through the 2021 season, as STAC posted a 5-9 overall record and a 5-5 mark in ECC play, which allowed them to qualify for the ECC Tournament for the 7th consecutive season.
Huertas also earned First Team status from the ECC to go along with her addition to the All-Met squad. She was leading scorer on a mostly young Spartan squad, placing first on the team with 12.4 points per game.
