St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Basketball player Angelique Holguin was named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans 57-55 victory over Molloy College last week.
Holguin posted 10 points, 4 rebounds, an assist and picked up 2 steals in 21 minutes of action for STAC. The freshman forward from Perth Amboy, N.J., shot 50% from the floor (3-for-6) and 100% from the free-throw line (4-for-4).
The Spartans return to Aquinas Hall on Saturday and Sunday, February 13 and 14, for a pair of back-to-back East Coast Conference contests against Roberts Wesleyan College, with both games scheduled for 2pm tip-offs.
