Huertas averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in two games (Feb. 13 - L, 68-64 and Feb. 14 - W, 60-57) last week. The junior guard from Haverstraw, N.Y., shot 46.1 percent (12-for-26) from the field, 41.1 percent (7-for-17) from three and 100 percent (4-for-4) from the foul line.
Lexi recorded 16 points on Saturday, shooting 5-for-11 from the floor, including 4-for-9 from behind the arc. She then added 19 points in Sunday’s win over Roberts Wesleyan, including 10 in the fourth quarter to sparks STAC’s come-from-behind victory.
St. Thomas Aquinas (2-4, 2-1 ECC) plays their final scheduled home game of this abbreviated season on Wednesday, February 17, when Mercy College visits Aquinas Hall for a 6:00 ECC tip. STAC will then play its final five games on the road before heading to the East Coast Conference Tournament.
