New York, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Track and Field team continued their indoor campaign at The College of New Jersey Indoor Open, which was held within the friendly confines of the historic 168th Street Armory in New York City.
The Spartans competed against athletes from several schools, including Bard College, Drew University, Iona University, Montclair State University, Ramapo College, The College of New Jersey and the University of the District of Columbia.
Highlights from Saturday's meet, include Gavin Kopf's victory in the Weight Throw (16.37 meters/53'8.5") and third place finish in the Shot Put (14.09 meters/46'2.75"), Darwin Almonte's new program record in the 300 Meter Dash (35.28 - 8th Place), Ryan Folmer's new school record in the Pole Vault (4.00 meters/13'1.5" - 4th Place), Justus Behne's new STAC record in the 60 Meter Hurdles (8.45 - 4th Place) and Francesco Stratico's second place finish in the Triple Jump (14.19 meters/46'6.75").
STAC will close out its 2025 Fall Semester schedule at the Wagner College Seahawk Shootout on Friday, December 12. Events begin at 12:00 p.m. inside of the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island.
