Troy, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's and Women's Track & Field program continued to shine bright both on the track and in field events on Friday and Saturday at the RPI Friday Night Under the Lights & Alumni Meet at Harkness Field.
On the day, the STAC men placed third, while the women finished seventh.
Headlining the outstanding performances for the Spartans were Darwin Almonte's first place finish in the 110 meter hurdles in a time of 15.10 and Victoria Maher's victory in the discus with a toss of 43.19m (141'8"). Additionally, the men's 4x100 meter relay team of Maurice Douglas, Leelan Maxwell, Justus Behne & Darwin Almonte placed second, finishing in 42.37.
The Spartans next compete at the Marist University Red Fox River Rumble on Friday and Saturday, April 17 and 18 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
