St. Thomas Aquinas College's Justus Behne and Victoria Maher were named the East Coast Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Women's Outdoor Field Athletes of the Week respectively on Tuesday, following the season opening Ramapo College Outdoor Track & Field Invitational last weekend.
Behne (Bottrop, Germany) won the 110 meter hurdles in a time of 14.91 and placed third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.30 at the Ramapo College Invitational.
Maher (Marlboro, N.Y.) set new school records in both the Discus (40.71m) and Hammer Throw (48.40m), while also placing first and fourth respectively in each event at the Ramapo College Invitational.
The Spartans next compete at the East Stroudsburg University All-American Meet on Friday, April 4 at the Gregory-Douds Field at Eiler-Martin Stadium in the Keystone State.
