Darwin Almonte Tabbed ECC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year

Colonia, N.J. - St. Thomas Aquinas College Track & Field standout Darwin Almonte has been selected as the 2026 East Coast Conference Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year.

Pena, a first-team All-ECC selection in the 60-meter hurdles and the 200-meter dash, was voted the Most Outstanding Male Athlete of the ECC Championships by the conference's coaches. He was also an All-East Region selection by the USTFCCCA and was a two-time ECC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week during the season.
