St. Thomas Aquinas College's Darwin Almonte was named the East Coast Conference Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday following the Spartans latest event, the East Stroudsburg University All-American meet

Almonte (Haverstraw, N.Y.) placed second in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.97 and fifth in the 100 meter dash, crossing the finish line in 11.16 at the ESU All-American Meet. The Spartan freshman also helped his 4x100 (42.67) and 4x400 (3:23.81) meter relay teams to a pair of second place finishes.

STAC next competes at the RPI Friday Night Under the Lights & Alumni Meet on Friday, April 10 at Harkness Field in Troy, New York.
