St. Thomas Aquinas College's DeAndre Smith was named the East Coast Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, after the Spartans participated in the Army West Point Twilight last Thursday evening.
Smith set a new school record and hit an NCAA DII provisional mark in the High Jump at the Army West Point Twilight. Smith also took the victory in the event, leaping 2.07 meters.
STAC next competes at the East Coast Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday, May 8. The day's events will be hosted by Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, N.Y.
