St. Thomas Aquinas College's DeAndre Smith was named the East Coast Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, after the Spartans participated in the East Stroudsburg University All-American Meet last Saturday.
Smith earned a first place finish in the High Jump, leaping 2.06 meters (6'9") at the ESU All-American Meet. His mark also hit the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard.
STAC next visits the United States Military Academy at West Point for their annual Twilight meet on Thursday, April 28. Events will take place at Shea Stadium.
