St. Thomas Aquinas College's Emmanuel Mena Jimenez was named the East Coast Conference Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, after the Spartans participated in the SUNY Albany Great Dane Classic last Friday on Staten Island. 

Mena Jimenez placed second in the Weight Throw, with a toss of 17.77 meters/58'3.75", setting a new school record. The West Haverstraw, N.Y. native was also the top finisher among ECC competitors, recording the conference's best mark in the event this season by nearly 3.0 meters. 

STAC returns to action at the Monmouth University Winter Collegiate Invitational, which takes place on Friday, February 11 and Saturday, February 12 at the Oceanfirst Bank Center in West Long Branch, N.J.
