St. Thomas Aquinas College's DeAndre Smith and Skylar Moreno were named the East Coast Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete and Women's Track Track Athlete of the Week respectively on Monday, after the Spartans participated in both the Saint Peters College Peacock Invitational and the East Stroudsburg University All-American Meet last week.

Smith took third and first place finishes in the high jump in two meets last week. At the Saint Peter’s Peacock Invitational Smith leaped 1.84 meters, good for a third place finish. At the East Stroudsburg All-American Meet, DeAndre jumped 1.95 meters to win the event.

Meanwhile, Moreno posted two second place finishes last week in two long distance events. At the Saint Peters Peacock Invitational, Moreno finished second in the 3000 meter run, clocking in at 11:30.99. At the East Stroudsburg All-American Meet, Skylar took second in the 3000 meter steeplechase in a time of 12:19.81.
