The Spartan Track & Field team has  started off the new year with a bang as three members of the team were chosen as the East Coast Conference Weekly Award Winners.

Saint-Jacob Diodonet started the new year out right by winning the 200 and 400 at the Wagner Invitational. He took the top spot in the 200 with a time of 21.95, which is currently the 10th fastest time in Division II. Diodonet also won the 400 in a time of 48.53m which is currently the ninth fastest time in 400 in Division II.

Ricksen Opont took sixth in the shot put with a throw of 14.95m at the Wagner Invitational. He was the top Division II thrower in the event.

Victoria Jones-Alleyen took fifth place in the long jump at the Wagner Invitational with a leap of 5.32 meters. The distance is a new school record. She also came in third in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.80, which is currently the 14th fastest time in Division II this year. Jones-Alleyen was the top Division II finisher in both events.
