In the latest Division II National Poll, released on Tuesday, the Spartan Men's Track & Field Team jumped up two spots, to 22nd in the country. Winslow Dorsainvil led the charge with a number 2 ranking in the 60 meters and a time of 6.76. St. Jacob Diodonet is ranked 4th in the Country in the 400 with a time of 47.38 and 26th in the country in the 200 with a time of 21.87.
On the regional side of things, the Men's Track team is currently ranked 6th in the East Region. St. Jacob Diodonet is ranked number 1 in the region for the 200 & 400 and 5th in the 60 meters. Winslow Dorsainvil is ranked number 1 in the region in the 60 with a time of 6.76. The 4x400 team of Frankie Schiavone, Lugduni Desrosiers, Mich Philistin, and St. Jacob Diodonet is ranked 2nd in the region with a time of 3:19.51. Other notables include Rickssen Opont (3rd in the region in the shot put), Tristan Holmgren in the High Jump (4th in the region), and the DMR team of Dylan Bestler, Ricardo Reid, Mich Philistin and Robbie Guidicipietro is ranked 5th in the region.
The Lady Spartans are currently ranked 10th in the region after the Boston University Terrier Invite. Camille Cameron is ranked 4th in the region in the 60 meters and 5th in the region in the 200. Victoria Jones-Alleyne is currenlty ranked 1st in the 60 meter hurdles in the region, 8th in the region in the 200, 5th in the region in the Long Jump and 4th in the region in the Triple Jump. The DMR Team of Aida Torpey, Amber Lubaszka, Rebecca Macleod, and Kristen Borriello is currently ranked 4th in the region.
Both teams next compete at the Armory on Friday and Saturday, February 3rd & 4th in the Armory Track Invitational.
