Diodonet Named ECC Preseason Runner of the Year

St.-Jacob Diodonet, a St. Thomas Aquinas College sprinterwas named the East Coast Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Preseason Athlete of the Year.  After a successful debut season for the Spartans a year ago, Diodonet has been voted as the best for this upcoming season.  

Diodonet was dominant during the 2015-16 indoor season, earning the ECC Track Athlete of the Year. He won the ECC Championship in the 200m (22.04) and 400m (48.71), while also finishing second in the 60m (6.96) and third as part of the 4x400 relay team (3:30.14) to also earn the ECC Championship Most Outstanding Athlete award. He also qualified for the NCAA Division II Championship in the 400m, where he came in 12th place with a time of 48.28.

Currently, Diodonet is ranked 4th in the country in the 400m as well as 20th in the 200m.
