Records Set at Terrier Classic

The Spartan Track & Field teams competed at the Terrier Classic at Boston University this weekend.  Many new school records were set as they continue to raise the bar for the program.  Gabriela Sloezen, Meaghan Ventarola, the women's DMR team, and Saint-Jacob Diodonet  each set a new mark for STAC.

Ventarola and Sloezen started the meet by breaking their former records in the 3000m and 400m. Ventarola bettered her school record time clocking 10:24.17.  Sloezen also posted a new mark of 58.12 in her event. Patricia Nersten hit a personal best in the 800 when she ran 2:21.93.  The Women's DMR team of Kristen Borriello, Sloezen, Nersten, and Ventarola ran a new school record with a time of 12:24.30 taking 12th overall.

Winslow Dorsainvil took 2nd overall in a field of over 90 athletes competing in the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.85.  Saint-Jacob Diodonet continued his outstanding freshman season bettering his 200 meter school record time when he ran 21.70 and finished 13th overall and was the top Division II finisher. He then was the top Division II runner in the 400 with a time of 48.24.
