St. Thomas Aquinas College will be represented this year at the Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships by junior Winslow Dorsainvil and freshman Saint-Jacob Diodonet. Winslow will be running in the 60 Meters at the championships while Saint will be running the 400 Meters.
Winslow Dorsainvil will be running in his 3rd straight National Championships where he has finished 10th overall in the 60 Meters the past two seasons. Winslow earned 2nd team All-American status last year at the Championships. This year Winslow ran 6.79 and was named to the All-Region team as he was the number one 60 meter runner in the East Region. Winslow earned All-Conference honors in the 60 breaking his own ECC record for indoor track.
Saint-Jacob Diodonet will be making his 1st appearance at the National Championship as being a freshman for the Spartans this year. Saint broke Chris Muniz indoor record in the 400 when he ran a 47.77 400 meter time this past weekend in Boston. Saint finished the season ranked 12th in Division II too earn his spot at the National Championships. Saint was All Region in the 60 meters where he finished 4th overall in the region, he then earned all region honors in the 200 and 400 where he was ranked number one in the East Region with his times. As we; as being all region he was also 1st team all conference in the 60 Meters, 200 Meters and 400 meters. He scored 34 total points at the conference meet for the Spartans.
They both will be competing at Pittsburg State University on March 11-12. The 60 Meter preliminary rounds will start at 3:40 on March 11 and the 400 meter preliminary rounds will start at 4:45. All times will be based on Central Time.
