This past weekend the St. Thomas Aquinas men's and women's track and field team competed at the Valentine's Day Invitational at Boston University. The Lady Spartan's 4x400 team, Gabriela Sloezen, Kristen Borriello, Gina Funaro, and Allison Borriello, broke the school record with a time of 4:05.61. On the same note Gabby Sloezen continues to have a great season in the 400 by running 58.52 which bettered her school record time by .1 of a second. Gina Funaro also had a Personal Best in the 800 with a time of 2:26.97. Allison Borriello also had a personal best in the 400 with a time of 1:00.48.
On the men's side, Winslow Dorsainvil took 2nd place in the 60
meters with a time of 6.86. Dorsainvil was the top collegiate
in the event of over 145 people competing. Lloyd Smalling
took 20th in the 60 meters with a time of 7.11. Dylan
Bestler ran one of his best times in the 500 with a time of
1:09.35.
The Spartan's and Lady Spartan's next compete at the ECC
Championships on Saturday the 21st at St. Anthony's High
School.
