The St. Thomas Aquinas Track & Field program competed this past week at the Rider Invitational. Rookie Kristen Borriello broke her own school record in the 1500 when she ran 4:47.06. The Lady Spartan's finished 10th overall with over 24 teams being scored.
Allison Borriello took a 4th place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:22.68. Gina Funaro and Laura Gerraputa took 5th and 6th place finishes in the 400 hurdles in times of 1:16.08 and 1:18.05
The men's team finished in 12th place out of 24 teams being scored. Dylan Bestler took 3rd place in the 400 hurdles with a time of 58.54. Lloyd Smalling took 3rd in the 200 with a time of 22.67. Winslow Dorsainvil took 4th overall in a time of 10.99. The Men's 4x100 team of Mohammed Ifthikar, Winslow Dorsainvil, Ricardo Reid, and Lloyd Smalling took 1st place in a time of 42.94.
The Spartan's and Lady Spartan's next compete at the ECC Championships at Robert Wesleyan on April 18th.
