Spartans Compete at ECC Championships, Eight Earn All-Conference Honors

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's & Women's Track team competed at the 2015 East Coast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship at St. Anthony's.  Winslow Dorsainvil, Lloyd Smalling and Kristen Borriello led the way for their respective squads.

To start the day off the 60 meter tandem of Winslow Dorsainvil and Lloyd Smalling finished in first and second places in times of 6.92 and 7.11.  In the 400 meters, junior Gabby Sloezen finished in third in a time of 59.80.  Graduate student Allison Borriello finished in 4th place overall in a time of 2:25.54.  Junior Rebecca Fortoul finished in 4th in the 1000 meter with her best time of this year in a time of 3:15.22.  In the mile, rookie Kristen Borriello took 2nd place overall in a time of 5:17.41.

In the relays the Lady Spartan DMR team of K. Borriello, A. Borriello, Gina Funaro and Meaghan Ventarola finished in second overall with a time of 12:50.81.

The next competition will be at the NCAA Championships in Birmingham, Alabama on March 13-14.  Winslow Dorsainvil is currently ranked 10th in the country.  The selection show will be on March 2.  The rest of the Spartan's and Lady Spartan's next compete at The Richard Stockton Invite on March 21.
