4 Spartan Records Set Last Chance Meet

Freshmen Winslow Dorsainvil, graduate student Garvenchy Nicolas and senior Allison Borriello set new STAC school records in their respective events at the Boston University Last Chance Meet.  Dorsianvil and Borriello both hit provisional qualifying times for Indoor Nationals.

Dorsainvil ran a new school record in the 60 with a time of 6.79 which puts him at 14th in the Country in Division II. Senior standout George Erazo in his last indoor meet for the Spartans ran 49.14 in the 400.  This ends a great Indoor Track career for Erazo who is currently ranked 40th in the Country in Division II.  He was named the Most Outstanding Athlete of the Meet at the ECC Championships last week.  

Nicolas and senior Matt Buell ended there indoor season in style both hitting new career bests in the 800.  Garvenchy Nicolas ran a new school record in the 800 with a time of 1:54.53 and Matt Buell hit a new Personal Best of 1:57.37.

Borriello ran a new personal best and school record in the 800 in a time of 2:16.69.  This ranks her 69th in the Country in Division II in the 800 the highest ranking for a female we have at STAC.  Sloezen ran a new school record time in the 400 with a time of 59.28.
The pool of runners chosen to run at the 2014 NCAA Inddor Track National Championship will be announced on Tuesday by 6:00pm.  The Division II Nationals will be held in Winston-Salem at the JDL Fast Track on March 14-15.  Live Streaming action will be on the NCAA.com website.
